วิธีการสังเกตกระดูกสันหลังคดในเด็ก

Scoliosis in young children may appear sooner or later and that is why recognition is very important in limiting the effects of scoliosis in the child's life.
If it is diagnosed after the curvature has formed, the treatment will become more complicated and durable.
Although we know that early diagnosis is vital, there is not enough effort so that more children can be diagnosed in advance.
Scoliosis exercises include a mental adjustment when exercising and activating muscles more efficiently to correct defects in the spine.
Children who should be inspected should be:
• Children from eight to 14 years.
• Girls, who are eight times more likely to get scoliosis than boys.
• Those with a thin or lanky shape.
• A child whose father or brother has scoliosis.
To perform a home scoliosis test, perform the following steps with your child.

STEP 1: Bend your back forward

Have your child stand with arms outstretched and palms together, then bend your waist as if touching your toes. Examine the back from behind and from the front, looking for signs of asymmetry.
• Is one side of the ribcage taller than the other?
• Is the lower back uneven?
• Does one hip seem taller than the other?

STEP 2: Stand Relaxed

Changes in posture are one of the first warning signs of scoliosis, often suggesting the condition before the curve becomes visible.
Sometimes the shoulders, the hips get out of adjustment ... observe from all angles your posture, from the front, back, from the side.
• Is one shoulder taller than the other?
• Is an arm farther from the body?
• Is one shoulder blade taller than the other?
• Are the hips uneven?
• Does the back look too rounded?

STEP 3: Observation with clothes on

Sometimes the clothes help us more than without her put on to observe mismatches in her son's posture.
• Is the hem uneven?
• Does one leg of the pants hang lower than the other?
• Does one shirt sleeve appear longer than the other?

STEP 4: Observe the Eyes and Ears

Alignment of your child's eyes and ears may also indicate a spinal abnormality. Examine the line of your child's eyes and ears to check for signs of scoliosis.
• Is the eye line inclined?
• Is the center of the eyes misaligned with the center of the hips?
• Is the inner ear in front of the shoulder?

STEP 5: Walk with your child

Scoliosis can sometimes cause mild lameness or other irregularities when walking. Study your child's normal gait to determine if any of these signs are present.

• Does your child have a slight limp?
• Does the body lean to one side?
• Does one leg appear shorter than the other?
A home scoliosis test is one of the most effective ways to detect the condition early. As a father, you know your son better than anyone. If you observe any of the above warning signs, have a specialist examine your child's posture.
